Description
Der p 2 (DERP2) recombinant Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus mite group 2 allergen is a partial-length protein expressed with N-terminal 6xHis-SUMO-tagged in E.coli. It was subjected to validation through LC-MS/MS analysis. Its purity was determined by SDS-PAGE and reached up to 90% and it presented a band of molecular mass around 30 kDa on the gel.
This recombinant DERP2 protein can be used to synthesize antibodies against DERP2 or in DERP2-associated signal transduction studies. DERP2 is a cause of an allergic reaction in humans. Common symptoms of allergy to dust mites are bronchial asthma, allergic rhinitis and conjunctivitis. This protein and Dermatophagoides farinae (Der f) are the main sources of allergens for patients allergic to house dust mites (DMI).

Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, need to be aliquoted for multiple uses. Avoid repeated cycles of freezing and thawing.
Shelf life
Shelf life is related to many factors, storage condition, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself. Generally, the shelf life of the liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of the lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
